Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Zero-watermarking method is a watermarking method which do not embed a watermark into an image. Thus, the quality of the original image is not degraded at all. ?In this method, an image is associated with a watermark information. ?Therefore, when we have to manage a lot of images, correspondence relationship between the images and watermarks also need to be maintained. ?Consequently, it is troublesome for medical site to manage the correspondence between patients information and diagnostic images correctly. ?In this work, we propose a novel management method using a hetero-associative memory model. The method can store many correspondences in a memory matrix and can recall the watermark associated with an image. ?Furthermore, it can retrieve the watermark from a degraded image. ?We derived the theoretical value and evaluated associative characteristic of the proposed method against JPEG compression and additive white Gaussian noise. ?The results using chest X-ray images showed that bit error rate (BER) by the computer simulations was larger than the theoretical BER since the feature patterns of the images were highly correlated.
