Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we proposed the novel C and L band three-mode erbium doped fiber amplifier that realizes high excitation power efficiency by using a multicore EDF with alternating C and L band amplifying cores and a cladding pumping scheme. We evaluate amplification characteristics of the EDFA and conduct transmission experiment.
