Abstract(in English) Recently, we succeeded in synthesizing a near-infrared Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2:Mn5+ (HAp:Mn5+) nanophosphors by liquid phase reaction method. However, their photoluminescence (PL) intensity is still much lower compared with a bulk phosphor synthesized by solid phase reaction method. In this study, we have attempted to improve the PL intensity by annealing, while maintaining the nanophosphor size required for applying to drug delivery system (DDS). The annealed nanophosphor has a rod-shaped configuration, and the size is 70 × 170 nm. The PL spectrum is significantly increased by the annealing, and the intensity of the annealed nanophosphor is 4 times higher than that of the bulk phosphor.
