| Abstract(in English) | It is entering the third artificial intelligence (AI) boom. In particular, with the advent of "deep learning" technology which is a type of "machine learning" method by which computers learn themselves (learning features and rules), the accuracy of image recognition has reached a level exceeding human intellect. The "Singularity (technological singularity)" in which AI exceeds humanity is presumed to be 2045 years. No, in the world of games like Shogi and Go, Singularity has already come. Development and introduction of AI in the medical field is rapidly progressing. The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare society gathering announced a report incorporating AI-based diagnosis of diseases and support for drug development in July 2017, which will be realized in FY 2020, and as a priority area to promote development, in particular, "genome medical care", "imaging diagnosis support", "diagnosis / treatment support", and "drug development". In this presentation, I will outline the current status and problems of AI introduction in medical imaging diagnostic field, future prospects and so on. |
