Abstract(in English) | It is important to quickly rescue the requisite rescuers in the building after a large-scale disaster such as an earthquake. Under such circumstances, if evacuation routes of evacuees in buildings can be recorded in the evacuees’ smartphones and provided to the rescue team, it will be helpful in the rescuer's rescue activities. For this purpose, PDR(Personal Dead Reckoning) would be useful, performing localization without relying on communication systems by using the smartphone’s acceleration sensor, gyrosensor, air pressure sensor and so on. When focusing on detecting turn actions in PDR, existing studies use gyrosensor , which is known to correctly detect turn actions only when the terminal attitude does not largely change. The detection accuracy degrades when the terminal attitude largely changes during movements, when the smartphones are put in the front pocket of the trousers for example. To solve this problem, in this paper, a rotation vector sensor is newly introduced to be used with a gyrosensor for correctly estimating the turn action as well as distinguishing the moving state of the user at each time even in the case where the smartphone is held in a pocket of the trousers. As a result of performance evaluation, it was shown that the accuracy of movement of the user was more than 89% . |
