Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Anonymization of medical data helps protect patient identities. However, with conventional anonymized personal identifiers it has potential to be include multiple individuals because these identifiers generated from personal attributes. Herein, to obtain accurate data analytics result from anonymized medical data, we describe the development of a method to classify identifiers which including multiple individuals by using diagnosis and treatment information described in insurance claims. To verify the effectiveness of our method, we developed classifiers by using dataset of insurance claims data and insurance enrollee master data from municipality-administered health insurance programs in Mie Prefecture and demonstrated the validity of our method. Therefore, the proposed method can be used to classify the identifiers which including multiple individuals.
