Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we aim to improve power efficiency by using a CMOS rectifier for power-amplifier-inserted transversal filter (PAITF) aimed at envelope pulse width modulation (EPWM) transmitter. The 180 ° hybrid used in PAITF has a function of outputting out-of-band quantization noise (QN). This quantization noise is recovered by a differential CMOS full-wave rectifier without resonators and recovered noise power is used for DC power supply to improve power efficiency. As a result of computer simulation combining digital signal processing and microwave circuit simulation, it is shown that power added efficiency improves by about 3% by recovering QN with CMOS rectifier. |
