Abstract(in English) For realization of high efficiency III-V/SOI hybrid laser, we investigated external resonator structure based on Si optical circuit. A loop mirror using curved directional coupler can perform as a reflecting mirror on whole C-band (conventional?band: 1530-1565 nm). We obtained that reflectivity variation of loop mirror is 30.0% to 31.6% in the C-band using curved directional coupler with the coupling length of 56 μm and the radius of curvature of 107 μm. It was found that a micro-loading effect during the etching should be taken into account for designing the curved directional coupler.
