Abstract(in English) | Research on MiDex Si Photonics for DWDM communication is in progress. For large scale integration, fabrication of a MiDex optical amplifier is necessary. However, MiDex materials suitable for MiDex optical amplifier have not yet been reported. In this work, (Er,Y)2Zr2O7 crystals were fabricated by Radical Assisted Sputtering method. It was found that this crystal has a refractive index of 2.08, the substrate surface is flat, and has excellent emission characteristics. To sum up, (Er,Y)2Zr2O7 crystal can be expected as a MiDex optical amplifier material. |
