Abstract(in English) | We experimentally demonstrate 2D ghost imaging (GI) with compact optical phased array (OPA) chip for LIDAR and bio-imaging applications. We newly design an OPA with 128 phase shifters densely integrated on a tiny silicon chip. By driving all phase shifters with random electrical signals, we create random 1D illumination patterns used in GI scheme and successfully retrieve a 1D slit pattern with over 90 resolvable points. We then insert a diffraction grating and adopt the wavelength sweeping scheme to demonstrate 2D imaging with 14 pixels in another axis. With the potential of integrating grating couplers and high-speed phase modulators on the silicon photonic platform, this work paves the way towards realizing compact and practical GI devices. |
