Abstract(in English) | Location-based services, which provide content based on locations which are specified by users, are becoming essential for our daily lives. By using these services, however, users can be exposed to risks of their private information leakage. To address this privacy leakage, several studies propose location privacy protection mechanisms in which users send requests specifying locations of their interests to a centralized, honest anonymizer and then the locations are anonymized so that each request contains other k-1 dummy locations to achieve location anonymity. The honest anonymizer know exact locations of all the users' interests, and thus obviously it is a single point of failiure in terms of privacy information protection. In this paper, we design a semi-honest anonymizer to circumvent this problem and discuss requirements to the k locations to achieve location anonymity based on k-anonymity and t-closeness. |
