Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The purpose of this study is to develop a new tactile sensory measurement device capable for early detection of decrease in tactile sensitivity caused by diabetic peripheral neuropathy. This devise is to present lateral skin stretch in the direction horizontal to the tactile sensitivity of the plantar skin using a small precision automatic stage. In the experiments, we measured the tactile sensitivity of healthy participants by using the tactile device for the multiple regions of the participants’ plantar cutaneous. The results showed that the foot plantar sensitivity tended to be higher in the fifth toe in the both case of standing and sitting posture.
