| Abstract(in English) | This report describes recent topics on optical access systems presented in ECOC2018, one of the world largest optical communication and networking conferences. Regarding passive optical network (PON) transmission technologies, a mainstream is PON beyond 25 Gbps per wavelength that is driven by recent standardization trends. Including PON technologies, most studies in the category are related to 5G accommodation systems. Studies on applying general hot topics not only in optical access field such as Machine learning to high-speed PON also gained significant attention. |
