[Poster Presentation] A Study on Channel Efficiency of CSMA/CA in Inter-Vehicle Communication Systems

Abstract(in English) CSMA/CA has been widely accepted as the media access control scheme for the Inter-Vehicle Communication systems. In CSMA/CA, a station waits a frame transmission during the back-off interval based on random value between 0 and W-1 uniformly. Then, the station transmits the frame if the others do not transmit any frames. In the ARIB STD-T109 which is a standard for ITS communication systems in Japan, W is equal to a 64. In this paper, we evaluate system performances of CSMA/CA from the viewpoint of a time efficiency and an average frame delay time varying the range of random value by network simulations.
