Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Ultrasonic vibration is applied to many manufacturing fields The authors have applied ultrasonic vibration to manufacturing. In this paper, examples of authors’ studies are introduced and future aspects are shown. First, it is shown that residual stress of welded joint is reduced using ultrasonic vibration during welding. Second, it is shown that surface roughness of machined surface is improved using ultrasonic vibration during drilling of composite material. Third, it is shown that Material with tapping paste in the water is cleaned in short time using ultrasonic vibration. In the future our studies, ultrasonic vibration will be applied to knurling and improvement of workability will be examined. Effect of residual stress reduction method on strength of material will be also examined.
