Abstract(in English) | This paper introduces high-speed digital isolator for the harsh power electronics environments. In power electronics systems, high-speed digital isolator is in growing demand for digitally controlled gate waveform optimization of power devices that can improve the switching characteristics. The proposed isolator achieves high-speed data communication of 400Mbps and high EMI immunity of 200kV/?s Common-Mode Transition Immunity (CMTI) by simulation. The diameter of the on-chip transformer is the smallest size of 150?m compared with previous researches and it enables the proposed isolator to be integrated with multiple circuits to drive power devices such as gate drivers and microcontrollers. The proposed isolator fabricated with BCD 0.18?m process shows a 2.5kV isolation voltage and the energy consumption of 2nJ/bit at 5V voltage supply. |
