Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Irrigation management is crucial factor to improve farming productivity, and highly skilled farmers have acquired mostly optimized irrigation strategies empirically. However, the most of them rely on personal skills and data driven strategies, in which soil moisture sensors are utilized, have not been common yet. Therefore, in this research, an automated irrigation algorithm by analyzing the relationship between irrigation history and environmental data such as soil moisture, temperature and solar radiation is discussed. Although irrigation history, cultivation result and meteorological data are widely collected, amount of soil moisture data is relatively limited because soil moisture sensors have not been affordable for the most of farmers. In irrigation strategy analysis, the lack of soil moisture records need to be covered by estimated value from the other meteorological data. In this paper, we propose a method to estimate soil moisture by obtaining evapotranspiration from meteorological data and discuss applicability on irrigation managements in green houses. |
