Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In UCA-based OAM, the spatial phase and intensity distribution of the transmit OAM signals change significantly depending on the system parameters, such as carrier frequency, antenna radius, and the number of antenna elements. Moreover, the received signal power extremely differs among OAM modes at a certain communication distance. Therefore, it is important to carefully consider the effect of various system parameters on the transmission performance in designing UCA-based OAM. To alleviate the fluctuation of the performance of UCA-based OAM, the adoption of multiple UCAs has been proposed to provide an enhanced degree of freedom to the antenna radius. Meanwhile, another approach is considered to increase the available number of OAM modes by decreasing the number of UCAs within the constant number of antenna elements. In this report, we investigate the system capacity of UCA-based OAM with the number of UCAs. The primary contribution of our investigation is to clarify the waterfilling-based possible system capacity of UCA-based OAM within the constant transmit power and the number of antenna elements.
