Abstract(in English) Application of IoT (Internet of Things) is progressing in various fields. Application of IoT is expected to progress in the medical field as well. Fukuoka prefectural association Kaiho Iizuka Hospital and Fujitsu Kyushu Network Technologies Co., Ltd. have started demonstration experiments of IoT in hospital facilities since 2017 and have been conducting a trial of propagation characteristics of 900 MHz band radio waves and location detection using a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacon And other evaluations are carried out. In this paper, we evaluated the characteristics of radio propagation focusing on the BLE beacon used for position detection, especially the use case of wearing the body. As a result of the evaluation, the possibility that the reception strength of BLE beacon can be used for human position detection in corridor and floor was shown.
