Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In multi-channel wireless mesh networks (MC-WMNs), high throughput is achieved throughout network when appropriate channels are allocated to radio interfaces. Then, we are studying how to design configuration of IEEE 802.11 radio interface with a directional antenna in infrastructure mode in the MC-WMNs. In this case, unless either access point (AP) mode or station (STA) mode is appropriately assigned as interface mode to each interface, network connectivity cannot be maintained. In this paper, we discuss an optimal configuration of MC-WMNs and show a resultant formulation of the allocation of channel/interface modes as a constraint optimization problem.
