Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Developing new friendship and maintaining inter-personal relationship among elderly people would contribute not only to enhance their subjective well-being but also to develop an affluent aging society. The goal of our research project is designing the dining environments/situations which enhance close relationship among elderly people by the evidence found from behavioral and social scientific studies. We conducted co-eating communication experiments for four pairs of six elderly people. We supplied them two meal styles; the one was “Gozen style” to serve each other, and the other was “Platter style”. We recorded their co-eating communication and assessed their impressions of co-eating by questionnaire. In this paper, we discuss structure of dataset for analysis relation between good communications and meal styles for elderlies.
