Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Google Street View (GSV) is an epoch-making system that allows viewing the landscape of the world to be realistic, but because the point where the image is displayed at intervals of about 10 m, there is a problem that the images are too few to be able to focus attention on the point of interest. If the method of simply increasing the number of images is used, that causes new problem that the operation becomes complicated because there are too many images. In order to show the point of interest of the user without increasing the number of images to be displayed, it is conceivable to make the image interval adaptively large or small for the user. However, it is necessary to consider the influence of the change of the image presentation interval on the user's spatial image (cognitive map). In this research, we investigated the influence of the change of image presentation intervals on the cognitive map before the development of the adaptive street view.
