A Basic Study on Noise Rejection Using Adaptive Noise Canceller from ECG Signal Measured through Capacitive Electrodes

Abstract(in English) Recently, biometrics authentication attracts attention. Our final goal is unlock the door with biometric authentication by high frequency electrocardiogram (HFECG). However, ECG is usually measured with electrodes placed on the skin. This method is not suitable for practical ECG authentication system. In this research, we focused on capacitive electrode to obtain ECG under unrestricted manner. In this report, we tried to measure ECG from door knob and shoes with capacitive electrodes and noise included on ECG was removed by using adaptive noise canceller. It was shown that adaptive noise canceller is valid for ECG measured through capacitive electrodes in the standing position.
