Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Direct spread spectrum (DSS) method is well-known as a robust audio information-hiding method. However, this method has a problem that the sound quality of the watermarked signal is dramatically reduced due to embedding. This paper proposes a spread-spectrum based speech watermarking method by using linear prediction (LP) residue. In the proposed method, the LP residue is used instead of PN signal, to be DSS-based speech watermarking. In addition, the LP residue has the same periodicity of the host signal so that the sound quality of the watermarked signal is not distorted, comparison with DSS method. Bit error rate (BER), objective sound quality measures, and robustness against signal processing ware evaluated whether or not the proposed method can satisfy important requirements of inaudibility and robustness. The results showed that the BER in the proposed method is almost the same as that in DSS method, while the sound quality is dramatically improved by comparing it with DSS method. Therefore, it was confirmed that the proposed method is an inaudible and robust speech watermarking. |
