Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Multi-copy store-carry-forward routing in sparsely populated mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) should be combined with a recovery scheme in order to remove message copies from the network after their delivery to destination nodes. VACCINE is an anti-packet-based recovery scheme, where as soon as a message is delivered to its destination node, an anti-packet for the message is generated and is broadcast in order to delete message copies remaining in the network. In such an environment, anti-packet counterfeiting attack, where malicious nodes generate and start to bloadcast fake anti-packets when they receive messages, is known to lower the message delivery rate. As a countermeasure against the attack, we propose VACCINE-HR, a modified version of VACCINE. VACCINE-HR enables us to extract suspicious nodes and by repeating extraction for different messages, we can detect malicious nodes eventually. The effectiveness of VACCINE-HR is shown through simulation experiments.
