Abstract(in English) | Advanced 4-channel multiplexing performance for short- and long-range orbital-angular-momentum (OAM) is demonstrated using circular loop arrays proximate to a planar reflector, where the distance between the array and the reflector is 2 mm to improve the mode unity. To impedance-match measured low input impedances, baluns tailored to each antenna were designed. With these fabricated modules, consisting of a 4-element loop antenna array, baluns and a planar reflector, satisfactory return losses are obtained. In addition, remarkably suppressed transmissions among the transmitting antennas are obtained in favor of the advanced mode unity; the transmission is less than -33.2 dB at 5.5 GHz. With these modules, performance for short-range communication is estimated. The transmission between antennas of the same radius, corresponding to the signal transmission, is always the maximum for each transmitting antenna. The measured transmission isolation, corresponding to the ratio of the signal to the interference, is as large as 21.9 dB. We confirmed that different 64 QAM signals are input to two antennas respectively and that the signals can be separated without signal processing. Performance for long-range communication is also estimated by using paraboloids and measuring equipment for accurate alignments. The measured transmission between antennas of the same radius is also the maximum, and an excellent measured transmission isolation of 23.4 dB is obtained at 5.5 GHz. |
