Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, due to the frequent occurrence of localized heavy rain, underground flooding damage continues. In an intricate underground space, it is necessary to have a mechanism to detect submergence finely and inconspicuously. Therefore, a method to detect inundation by placing a sensor node in a street gutter has been studied. Generally, in the electrode system, which is one of the water detection methods, the electrode directly touches the water, so there is concern that aged deterioration will occur over a long period of operation. On the other hand, the electrostatic capacity method can measure with a metal film attached to the inner surface of a waterproof case. In this method, materials and distance between the metal film and water, the sampling rate, and the resistance value connected to the sensor circuit have an influence on accuracy and responsiveness, so there is room for discussion. Therefore, we have fabricated a sensor node that is capacitive and a system that notifies when an abnormality is detected. In this research, we conducted experiments using sensor nodes and found that it is possible to measure the distance of the water surface at 8.80 cm from the sensor in the experimental environment.
