| Abstract(in English) | This report proposes a circular polarized antenna with low-profile and narrow width. It consists of a gapped loop element and a patch element fed with a coaxial probe. The impedance of the antenna is dependent on the position of patch element fed. Assuming a infinite ground plane, we examine its characteristicsthrough FDTD simulation in terms of impedance, radiation pattern and axial ratioof the antenna, and current distribution. To validate the the analytics model in the simulation, input characteristics of the antenna are verified with experimentwhen the antenna area is 0.47$times$0.16$times$0.033$lambda _0 ^3$, antenna height are 0.066$lambda _0$ or 0.028$lambda _0$. simulation results shows the smallest antenna has radiation pattern gain of 9.3 dBi, 3 dB-axial ratio of 35$^circ$ and 100$^circ$in the H- and the E-planes of the patch element. |
