Analyses of burst phenomena of a piece-wise constant neuron model

Abstract(in English) In this paper, a modified piece-wise constant (PWC) neuron model is studied. There are various bifur- cation phenomena as occurrence mechanisms of a burst of a neuron model. Specially, we focus on an occurrence mechanism of a burst that starts via a saddle-node bifurcation and terminates via a homoclinic bifurcation. It is shown that the PWC neuron model can realize the occurrence mechanism of the burst. Also, the burst is analyzed theoretically and a parameter search algorithm that uses the theoretical analysis is studied.
