Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Stochastic resonance is a nonlinear phenomenon in which the performance of the system is improved by adding noise of appropriate intensity. Previous studies have shown that weak signals below the reception sensitivity can be detected by stochastic resonance receivers. In this study, we analyze the stochastic resonance receiver using interference waves as the noise. We theoretically and numerically evaluate bit-error-ratio (BER) for phase-shift-keying-modulated signals. As a result, it is revealed that the best BER is obtained by an appropriate set of signal-to-interference and signal-to-threshold ratios. This means that our result provides a clear design methodology for the stochastic resonance receiver based on the interference waves.
