Influence of Raman scattering on quantum noise in phase-sensitive amplification in a fiber

Abstract(in English) Phase-sensitive amplification (PSA) based on parametric interaction has a low-noise property such as a quantum ?limited noise figure of 0 dB, i.e., extra noise free amplification. However, it has been reported that Raman scattered light from the pump light degrades the noise figure from the ideal 0 dB in single-pumped PSA. The present work quantum mechanically analyzes the influence of Raman scattering on dual-pumped PSA, and qualitatively shows noise figure degradation.
