Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reports the condition of using adjacent reconstruction during SLAM-based visual bronchoscope tracking. Visual bronchoscope tracking is the technique of obtaining bronchoscope pose while bronchoscopic examination. Bronchoscopic image is used for camera pose estimation by using a technique called simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM). SLAM tends to fail due to less corresponding points in one frame and pre-built map, which are used for pose estimation. Then adjacent restoration is used to increase the corresponding points. However, previous studies didn’t investigate the condition of using adjacent reconstruction. Therefore, we investigate this condition using both phantom bronchoscope video and in-vivo bronchoscope videos. Experimental results showed that in phantom video, the best threshold was 150 and in in-vivo videos, the best threshold was 50.
