Study on Spectral-Domain Formulation for Electromagnetic Scattering Problem of Finite Periodic Lamellar Grating

Abstract(in English) The present paper deals with the electromagnetic scattering from lamellar gratings of finite extent, and considers a spectral-domain method based on the rigorous coupled-wave analysis with the use the pseudo-periodic Fourier transform. The fields in imperfectly periodic structures generally have continuous spectra in the wavenumber space, and the discretization scheme in the wavenumber space is important for the spectral-domain method. The fields in the lamellar grating of finite extent have rapidly oscillatory spectra when the grating region is much wider than the wavelength.
