Abstract(in English) In this study, transverse electromagnetic plane wave scattering by dielectric rectangular cylinders has been analyzed by a high frequency asymptotic method. Scattering field can be generated by the equivalent electric and magnetic currents which are obtained approximately from the geometrical optics reflected/transmitted fields. Also, the contributions of the transmitted waves due to multiple internal bouncing effect have been discussed. A good agreement between the results by our method and those by HFSS simulation has been observed to confirm the validity of our method.
