Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In Cognitive Ad Hoc Networks (CAHNs), unlicensed Secondary Users (SUs) need establish control channels without infrastructure. Two main methods are utilized for establishing control channels in CAHNs, which are dedicated control channel method and channel hopping method. Since the dedicated control channel method is not scalable, flexible, or robust, the channel hopping method is preferable. In this report, we propose an Enhanced Channel Hopping Algorithm (ECHA) for the control channel establishment in heterogeneous CAHNs. SUs in heterogeneous CAHNs can successfully establish control channels between them by using the ECHA. The upper bounds of the Time To Control Channel Establishment (TTCCE) for the ECHA are derived by theoretical analysis. Simulation results show the superiority of the ECHA in terms of the Maximum TTCCE (MTTCCE) compared with state of the art channel hopping algorithms.
