Abstract(in English) The authors have been proposing a simple and compact microstrip line balun with slitted ground. A dip of common mode rejection ratio (CMRR) exist close to the operation frequency of the balun and it should be improved for wide band operation. In this report, the cause of the dip is found and the slits are optimized to obtain wider operation bandwidth. It is indicated that 20 dB fractional bandwidth of the CMRR of the optimized balun is 46% wider than that of the conventional balun by electromagnetic simulator.
