Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This article discusses motion planning for a camera equipped on a mobile platform such as a drone to find a certain person in an office environment using the camera. Since many people usually keep the positions and orientations of their bodies when they are working in an office environment, it is difficult to find a certain person from among them by observing their faces by cameras fixed in the environment due to the limitation of the field of view and the orientation of each camera as well as the occlusion of the faces by various objects in the environment. However, recent widespread of mobile platforms including drones and mobile robots in daily living environments makes it easy to move cameras in the environments. This article discusses how to move a mobile camera to observe each person’s face to find a certain person.
