[Poster Presentation] Power Control exploiting Spectrum Database for V2V Communication Systems

Abstract(in English) In order to realize reliable Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) communication systems for autonomous driving, the recognition of radio propagation becomes an important technology and needs accurate design of communication parameters such as the transmission power. However, in current wireless distributed networks (WDNs), it is difficult to accurately estimate the radio propagation characteristics because of the locality of the radio propagation caused by surrounding buildings and geographical features. In this paper, we propose a power control based on the measurement-based spectrum database in the WDNs to guarantee the outage probability. The database gathers measurement datasets of the received signal strength indicator (RSSI) related to the transmission/reception location. By using these datasets, the received power distributions linked with transmitter and receiver locations can be generated. We have constructed the database by using the measurement datasets of V2V communications and the power control performance is evaluated. Our results show that the proposed power control can suppress the transmission power and accurately guarantee the outage probability than the power control based on empirical models.
