Manipulation toy robots with finger play and hand shadow and its demonstration/evaluation

Abstract(in English) The authors propose a platform manipulating a toy robot in real time with finger play and hand shadow. The platform measures posture of the hands, and transcribes the motion into the robot. The robot to be manipulated is also to be assembled by the user him/herself. For configuration to manipulate a robot the user connects the blocks (representing motion of hands) to the robot's joint, and links the movable range of the hand and the robot. The authors carried out the demonstrative experiment and over 200 people were participated. From the demonstration, the proposed method has intuitive character.
