Abstract(in English) The authors describe a system for making and performing digital picture-stories. With the system users can author animation-capable picture-stories by putting foreground and background images on the canvas. In performance, in addition to conventional performance, the performer can move foreground images with touch operation. The user interface of the system is designed simply so that the user can author picture-stories effectively and easily. The authors carried out the demonstrative experiment. Through the experiment the participants seemed to author and perform picture-stories easily and enjoyed the experience.
