Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this report, we propose a model-based target classification technique using polarimetric similarity with the ensemble average coherency matrix elements. In general, the ensemble average coherency matrix elements have the magnitude relation, thus the contribution degree to the polarimetric similarity differs for each element. we propose how to compensate the contribution degree, and then show the classification results applying 5 theoretical scattering models (surface scattering, double-bounce scattering, volume scattering, 30° oriented dihedral scattering, and totally random scattering) using ALOS-2 data. It is shown that a new compensation scheme serves to better classification.
