Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Reviewing system performance is an essential part of air traffic management (ATM), and requires appropriate performance indices such as safety and airspace/air traffic complexity according to purpose of the review. We have proposed a difficulty index which can be derived from aircraft trajectory information as such a performance index. Once a traffic situation with a significantly high difficulty is identified, it is desirable that an advisory should be provided to operators for the trajectory modification of key aircraft to mitigate the difficulty. This paper reports a preliminary study on developing an automatic decision support tool for trajectory modification to mitigate high traffic complexity. This paper briefly describes the concept and algorithm for simulations.
