| Abstract(in English) | Writing and sign language are known as substitute methods of verbal communication. The laryngectomized person uses three kinds of methods; artificial larynx, shunt method, esophageal vocalization method. However, any substitute method has problems such that the daily living activities in the home are obstructed and it is impossible to request the desired items on the go. This research focuses on reading lip technology as new substitute method. In this paper, we collect the speech scenes of elderly speech disorder people and verify the recognition performance for these scenes. Here, it is not easy to collect many speech scenes from elderly speech disorder people. Therefore, we investigate an approach to learn with young people's speech scene and to additionally learn speech scenes of elderly speech disorder people. As a result of the recognition experiment, we obtained almost the same recognition accuracy as the recognition accuracy of the young people's scene which sufficient scenes can be used, and it was verified that lip reading is possible even in a small scale speech scene of elderly speech disorder people. |
