Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Brush enables the transfer of electrical current between stationary and moving conductors. There are many operational cases centered on exciter of AC machines. Recently, silver graphite brushes and noble metal slip rings has attracted a lot of attention because those are effective for suppressing the contact voltage drop. However, its sliding and energizing characteristics hasn't been investigated in detail. In this study, we conducted sliding experiments with silver graphite brush and precious metal slip ring with the aim of acquiring the basic characteristics of sliding and energization.
