| Abstract(in English) | According to Hick’s law, the time to find a target symbol from many alternatives is relatively short, i.e., it is not proportional to the number of alternatives, N, but to log N. It has not been clarified yet why the visual search should be optimized so that it would become short in search time. In this technical report, we modeled the eye movement in visual search as gaze step magnitudes to investigate a mechanism of the optimization. |
