Abstract(in English) | Research and development of hardware and architectures that imitate the information processing mechanism of brains is being actively conducted. Connectome analyses of animals’ nervous system have revealed that their structure is characterized by hierarchical modularity, as typified by the human cerebral cortex. However, the functional role of the hierarchically modular organization in the nervous system is still unclear. In this work, we used spiking neuronal networks to computationally investigate the influence of hierarchically modular organization on the activity pattern of neural networks from the viewpoint of synchronous bursting activity and the complexity of network dynamics. |
