Consideration of Quality Improvement for Neonate-Fingerprint Images

Abstract(in English) United Nations adopted the resolution, SDGs, which aims at solving the eradicating poverty in all its forms and dimensions and one of the plan of action is “By 2030, provide legal identity for all, including birth registration”. However, existing national ID systems which utilize together with biometrics identifier do not cover the children due to the technical difficulties. The purpose of this report is to explain the consideration of developing the neonate fingerprint image capturing device and of improving the feature extraction accuracy.
