Study on Design of On-Body THz-BAN Wireless Communication System

Abstract(in English) In WBANs (Wireless Body Area Network), demands for high speed and large capacity are increasing. Therefore, the use of the terahertz band capable of responding to these demands attracts a great attention. As a design example of the on-body THz-WBAN wireless communication system, examination of the transceiver and examination of the device configuration will be shown in this report. An antenna integrated resonant tunneling diode is used as a transmitter and a Schottky barrier diode is used as a receiver. We introduce binary code spreading as a measure against noise and show the communication characteristics derived by simulation.
