Abstract(in English) Wireless power transfer to electric vehicles has attracted a great deal of attention, however, many problems have remained, such as detection of foreign object between the road and the car body. This paper proposes the concept of "wireless power transfer using in-tire magnetic circuit" as one of the solutions to the above problems. In this concept, the magnetic circuit is constructed by adding a ferrite material to the rubber of the tire, and strengthen the coupling between the transmitter and receiver. In this paper, the feasibility of the proposed concept was demonstrated by system characteristics measurement and power transfer experiments with magnetic resonance circuit. Moreover, highly efficient power transmission can be realized by using transmitter and receiver with high Q value, which is clarified by demonstration experiment using small model.
