Person recognition by gait using an Extreme Learning Machine

Abstract(in English) In this research, we propose a method of person recognition using an Extreme Learning Machine (ELM). We proposed an ELM whose inputs are Gait Energy Images (GEI) that are images including gait features and whose desired outputs are class labels. Recognition experiments with the proposed ELM using the same large scale gait database of the conventional methods were performed. As a result, the proposed method realized greatly shorten the calculation time and reducing calculation costs.
